and it may also ask you to install their silverlight player as well before playing the movie. in the older version of the netflix software, a restart was required when installing the software and sometimes it did not work with windows media player 12, but now it does.

when you go to play the movie, the software to play the movie should download automatically and then the movie should then start playing. it should not give you a message about the OS not being supported. Windows 7 works better in 32-bit mode than 64-bit mode, but ok its your pc. first of all make sure IE8 is in compatibility mode. Jess i'm running the RC at this point and i got netfix to work, but oddly there is an issue with the player because they updated it so that now it does not automatically disable the screen saver and whatnot.

I do have the install files saved from installing it on my Vista 圆4 system but not sure how or if I should try to run those files on my Win 7 RC 圆4 system. I went to netflix and logged in and click play on an item in my instant queue. you should now be watching your show/movie.Not sure if anyones still paying attention to this thread but I am having problems. download windows version firefox 32 bit from ģ. install wine from the mx-packageinstaller (actually installs wine-staging and wine-staging-compat/winehq-staging)Ģ. click the link and then “allow and remember” from the pop-up dialog that follows.Ħ. Upon first run of a movie, you will see a prompt to “activate silverlight”. This will force the use of silverlight over html5, as html5 will not work.ĥ. Install that and change your user agent to a Windows Firefox that is pre-firefox 34 (Windows/Firefox 29 is included in the current defaults). in Firefox/iceweasel, you are also going to need a user agent switcher (there is an extension called “user agent switcher” that is perfect). If plugins are not visible, close your browser and run sudo pipelight-plugin -create-mozilla-plugins and restart your browser.Ĥ. However, in firefox, the plugin will not be visible.ģ. A wine prefix should be created automatically. Now run your browser (if Pale Moon, you are done). For those using Firefox or Iceweasel 44.X, the next command is also necessary: sudo pipelight-plugin -create-mozilla-pluginsĢ. After installation, run pipelight-plugin -enable silverlight5.1 Install pipelight-multi 0.2.8.2 from the test repository. Google no longer provides a 32bit version of Chrome, so you need to use a workaround.

This is straightforward: just install Google Chrome from MX Package Installer and Netflix will work OOTB. You can look at a Netflix show/movie on MX-15, but the method varies by the architecture of your system (enter inxi -S in a terminal if you are unsure).
